Pre-Bridal Care Timeline — 3 Months to the Wedding Day
A month-by-month pre-bridal care timeline for skin, hair, body and wellbeing — what to start when, what to avoid, and how to feel calm before your wedding.

Pre-bridal care isn’t about squeezing ten treatments into the last week. It’s about starting early, doing a few things consistently, and arriving at your wedding rested and calm. Here is a realistic timeline that works alongside a busy wedding-planning schedule.
3 months before
Skin
- Start a simple routine: cleanse, moisturise, sunscreen — every day.
- If you have acne, pigmentation or a skin condition, see a dermatologist now.
Hair
- Get a trim to remove split ends.
- Start a weekly hair-oiling or conditioning routine (wash it out properly).
Body & wellbeing
- Fix your sleep. Seven to eight hours makes a visible difference.
- Drink water through the day.
- Move a little every day — a walk, yoga or whatever you enjoy.
Planning
- Book your makeup artist. In wedding season, good dates go early. (At GlamParul, please book at least 20 days ahead — most of our season is already booked.)
2 months before
- Schedule any dermatologist treatments now, so the skin has time to recover.
- Start collecting reference looks for each function, alongside your outfits. Our guide to engagement, wedding and reception looks can help.
- Decide on hair: do you need extensions for volume or length?
1 month before
- Last facial or clean-up about 3–4 weeks before the wedding.
- Try your hairstyle idea and share photos with your artist.
- Finalise your looks on WhatsApp with your makeup artist.
- Manicure and pedicure routine — keep nails healthy for the mehendi and ring shots.
2 weeks before
- Eyebrow shaping.
- No new skincare products from now on.
- Hair colour or gloss, if planned (never in the final week).
- Confirm timings and venues with your makeup artist.
1 week before
- Keep everything simple and consistent.
- Avoid heavy, oily, very salty food — puffiness shows in photos.
- Pack an emergency kit: safety pins, blotting paper, lip colour, compact, painkillers, band-aids.
3–4 days before
- Waxing and threading, so any redness calms down.
- Gentle exfoliation, if your skin tolerates it.
- Mehendi usually happens around now — plan your nail paint for afterwards.
The night before
- Wash your hair (not on the morning).
- Light moisturiser and lip balm.
- Lay out your outfit, jewellery and safety pins.
- Sleep early — really.
The wedding morning
- Cleanse and lightly moisturise. No makeup or heavy sunscreen.
- Wear a front-open shirt.
- Eat something light and hydrate.
- Let your makeup artist take it from there. See our wedding-morning timeline and what to keep ready.
What to avoid close to the wedding
- New facials, peels or treatments in the last 3–4 weeks
- New skincare products in the last 2 weeks
- Experimenting with hair colour in the last week
- Crash diets — they show up as tired, dull skin
- Staying up late every night with planning
The calm part matters too
The most beautiful brides I’ve worked with weren’t the ones with the most treatments — they were the ones who felt rested and looked forward to the day. Delegate, sleep, and trust the people you’ve booked.
If you’ve booked GlamParul, we’ll share skin-prep guidance for your wedding date, and prep your skin on the morning before makeup. Learn more about our pre-bridal care and bridal makeup.
